DAY 2

BATEMANS BAY – CLYDE RIVER CRUISE TUESDAY 3RD MARCH
We start our day with a sight-seeing tour of the Batemans Bay area including a visit to the Batemans Bay Heritage Museum, offering a broad mix of permanent, temporary, and travelling exhibitions. The outbuildings contain specialist displays including timber-town history, and South Coast NSW geology. We head off in time to join the “MV Merinda” for an upstream, scenic lunch cruise along the magnificent Clyde River to Nelligen. This little town is a real retreat - a peaceful little village on the edge of the river. The soothing tranquillity of the river is matched by the silence of the surrounding forest. Nelligen’s once bustling streets are now quiet and serene. We then re-board the vessel and return to Batemans Bay, motoring under the only single span lift bridge still operating in NSW. Back on dry land we visit Regional Eurobodalla Botanic Gardens. These gardens grow and display plants which occur naturally in the region.  There are a number of areas of interest with easy walking tracks heading in all directions.  The sensory garden is worth a visit as are the display gardens. Return to our accommodation for dinner this evening.

DAY 3

BATEMANS BAY – MOGO WILDLIFE PARK – TILBA WEDNESDAY 4TH MARCH
This morning, we travel via Batehaven, the first of a string of villages along the southern shore of Batemans Bay, with Snapper Island lying off the coast. From Malua Bay we continue onto the old gold mining village of Mogo where we visit the privately owned Mogo Wildlife Park. Here there are lions, giraffes, tigers, jaguars, snow leopards, a variety of monkeys, red pandas, small clawed otters - to mention just some of the animals you will meet today. Mogo Wildlife Park is passionate about the conservation of endangered species and believes that through education, combined with its involvement in various global breeding programs, they can make a difference to the world's threatened species. We enjoy morning tea at the park with time to look around before heading to the famous Narooma Golf Club for lunch. Perched atop cliffs jutting over the Pacific Ocean the Narooma Golf Club features some of the most spectacular views in Australia. Leaving here, we travel to historic Central Tilba a working village classified by the National Trust, where we have time to explore the many shops of yesteryear and take a look at the former ABC Cheese Factory. Continue to the Bodalla Dairy Shed which was founded in 1989 and in 2008 they built a micro-dairy in the heart of town – Bodalla Dairy and the Dairy Shed Café. Here they bottle milk exactly the way they want – with locals, by hand, in small batches at very low temperatures to keep the milk alive. Back on the coach with some goodies you may have purchased throughout the day, we arrive back at our accommodation with time to freshen up before dinner.

DAY 4

The gallery exhibits and promotes Australian wood art, giftware, sculpture and contemporary furniture by the country's foremost designers / makers in wood.
