DAY 1

WODONGA / ALBURY – CANBERRA MONDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER, 2025
Welcome aboard Martins touring coach as we depart Wodonga Plaza Smythe Street 7.45am, Albury Railway Station 8.00am, and Lavington Shopping Centre Griffith Road 8.15am for our tour to uncover the stunning colours of the Floriade Festival, Australia’s biggest celebration of Spring. Meeting our friendly crew and fellow travellers we make our way to Canberra and head straight to Floriade. Arriving, there will be plenty of time to explore the impressive array of inspiring flowerbeds, horticultural exhibitions and unmissable entertainment. Later this afternoon head to our 4 star accommodation located in the heart of the city.

DAY 2

TULIP TOP GARDENS TUESDAY 16TH SEPTMBER
Spring is in the air this morning as we head to Tulip Top Gardens. This world class garden offers hundreds of blooming flowers for us to enjoy; follow meandering pathways and feel rejuvenated by the springtime atmosphere. After our morning among the tulips head to Rodney’s Garden Cafe. Set within the picturesque Pialligo, it’s not just a relaxing place to stop for lunch - you’ll also have time to explore the beautifully maintained nursery and peruse the wonderful range of homewares at their gift store. The last stop for the day is at the Canberra Glass Works. This is Australia’s only cultural centre that is wholly dedicated to contemporary glass. Here we uncover the art of glass making and the skill involved to make such stunning pieces. Before returning to our hotel, enjoy a drive tour viewing some of Canberra’s most impressive public buildings - the High Court, National Gallery and National Library. Tour through the suburb of Yarralumla and view many of the Embassies and Diplomatic Residences and the Lodge, home of our Prime Minister. Travel up to Mt Ainslie, which shows the elegance of Walter Burley Griffin’s design for the city. The views across Lake Burley Griffin are breathtaking.

DAY 3

CANBERRA - COOMA WEDNESDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER
Leaving the nation’s capital this morning we begin our journey to Cooma. Along the way we visit the Macenmist Black Truffles & Wines, located in the NSW Southern Tablelands north of the Snowy Mountains and just outside the village of Bredbo. Discover more about this delicious fungi and enjoy morning tea. Heading to Cooma we visit the Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre and explore this state-of-the-art facility and enjoy lunch here. After hearing the amazing role the Scheme plays in the development of Australia, when travel into Cooma and explore the main street. A must see is the Mosaic Time Walk in Centennial Park depicting the Monaro community. Within the Park you’ll also find the statue of Banjo’s Paterson’s immortal man, “The Man from Snowy River’ before continuing to our 3 star motel.

DAY 4

COOMA – ALBURY / WODONGA THURSDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER
We bid farewell to Cooma heading home to Albury. Taking in the breathtaking scenery as it goes by, we travel through Adaminaby, a town relocated building by building, due to the damming of the Eucumbene River for the Hydro-Electric Scheme. With lunchtime approaching, we stop at Tumut Valley Violets Farm set in the grounds of the old Tumut Plains school house (established circa 1878). Have lunch and discover more about the many varieties of violets grown here. After our peaceful break, we continue home to Albury arriving approximately 5.30 / 6.00pm
