DAY 1

WODONGA / ALBURY – BATHURST WEDNESDAY 9TH DECEMBER, 2026
Welcome aboard for departure from Wodonga Plaza, Smythe Street at 7.30am, Albury Rail at 7.45am, Lavington Shopping Centre Griffith Road at 8.00am and Holbrook Submarine Bus Stop at 8.55am for our 5 Day Hunter Valley Christmas Lights tour.
Our journey takes us to Gundagai for a comfort stop before continuing to the Allambie Orchard & Café at Wombat for lunch. Here we have a chance to do some cherry picking (own expense) or take a wander through the orchard. This afternoon we arrive in Bathurst and check into our accommodation overlooking the famous Bathurst car racing circuit. We have some free time to freshen up before our welcome dinner.

DAY 2

BATHURST – HUNTER VALLEY THURSDAY 10TH DECEMBER
This morning, we farewell Bathurst and head to Oberon to explore the stunning landscapes of Mayfield Gardens, an expansive haven celebrated as one of the world’s largest privately owned cool-climate gardens. Nestled within a 5000-acre working farm, the gardens beginnings were humble in comparison but has continued to expand and flourish. We are here to experience the gardens, strolling through the exquisite Water Gardens, and enchanting Valley of Five Ponds and savour the moments of tranquillity among the gardens resplendent beauty. After a morning filled with wonder and delight at this natural paradise, we have an early lunch here before we continue our journey to the Hunter Valley and our accommodation located next to the gardens near the village.

DAY 3

HUNTER VALLEY GARDENS & CHRISTMAS LIGHTS FRIDAY 11TH DECEMBER
Today we discover the sensational sights, colours and fragrances of the stunning Hunter Valley Gardens. Explore over 25 hectares of spectacular flowers, trees and shrubs. Take in the views from the lookout, rest above the waterfall in the Sunken Garden or step back in time with your favourite characters in the Storybook Garden. Our lunch is served at the Garden Terrace Restaurant before a visit to the Hunter Valley Cheese Company for a tasting.Of course, no visit to the Hunter Valley would be complete without a wine tasting, which we enjoy at McGuigan’s. Tonight, after dinner at the hotel we have an evening out at the magical Christmas Lights. Wind your way through the remarkable displays including a White Christmas scene complete with snow cave and white topped trees or stroll through the sparkling Christmas Bauble. The lights spectacular is bound to capture the spirit of Christmas!

DAY 4

THE BROKEN BAY PEARL FARM SATURDAY 12TH DECEMBER
We farewell the Hunter Valley and make our way to the Central Coast, arriving at The Chocolate & Nougat Factory in Gosford, home of renowned Australian confectionery producers Nougat Limar, Bon Bon Fine Chocolate and The Sydney Marshmallow Co. Taken on a guided factory tour, we’ll see how these delicious treats are made.
Lunch follows before making our way to Broken Bay Pearls at Mooney Mooney, the only pearl farm on Australia’s East Coast. Here we’ll learn all about the production cycle of superior Akoya pearls. The Akoya oyster is native to the east coast and pearls produced here are 100% natural in colour.
We continue to Sydney’s outer suburbs for our final nights’ accommodation.

DAY 5

PENRITH – ALBURY / WODONGA SUNDAY 13TH DECEMBER
We start our journey home today with a stop for morning tea break at Berrima before lunch at Rollonin Café, a beautiful slab hut café in the village of Bowning. There is a lot of history associated with this building, and in days gone by it was used as a Cobb & Co Coaching Station from mid to late 1800s. But today we find it a wonderful place to enjoy our farewell lunch.
Continue through to Albury / Wodonga arriving late afternoon.
