DAY 1

ALBURY / WODONGA - ADELAIDE FRIDAY 22ND AUGUST, 2025
Welcome aboard Martins Touring Coach as we depart Lavington Shopping Centre, Griffith Road Bus Stop at 9.30am, Albury Rail 9.45am, Wodonga Plaza Smythe St 10.00am and Wangaratta Coles Perry Street Bus Stop at 10.55am for our adventure to Port Lincoln on the Eyre Peninsula, and into South Australias’ remote Far West Coast for amazing scenery and the Stars of the Show – the Southern Right Whale! Today make our way down the Hume Freeway to Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport where we check in for our direct Virgin Australia flight VA0233 departing at 4.10pm to Adelaide arriving 5.05pm where we will stay overnight, in readiness for our Port Lincoln flights tomorrow.

DAY 2

ADELAIDE - PORT LINCOLN SATURDAY 23RD AUGUST
This morning, board our Regional Express Flight ZL4362 departing 9.00am across to Port Lincoln arriving 9.50am. Meeting our friendly charter company crew we begin exploring at The Fresh Fish Place. Uncover the working of Lincoln’s leading multi-species fish processing factory on a guided tour. Discover how local fish are filleted and packaged for sale before lunch here. Our next visit is Constantia Designer Craftsmen. At this truly unique attraction, we find some of the world’s finest furniture. Constantia was commissioned to design and build the Table for the House of Representatives, so you know we are in for a treat. Then with a view almost as delicious as the wine, we will conclude our day set upon a hill above the shores of Boston Bay at the Boston Bay Winery. After a wine tasting and informative presentation, we will head to our hotel.

DAY 3

PORT LINCOLN & BOSTON BAY SUNDAY 24TH AUGUST
This morning, get to know the Port a little better on a town tour before stepping back in time at the absolute waterfront Axel Stenross Maritime Museum. Delight in Axel’s original living quarters and his workshops with still operating slipway. Admire the display of restored historic vessels, marine artefacts and relics as our guide leads the way. After lunch today you will have a little time to wander the foreshore before joining a Calypso Star Charter for an afternoon upon the seas! Hear first-hand knowledge of fishing, aquaculture and the colourful local history that brings beautiful seafood to your plate as we cruise Lincoln’s bays. We will also visit aquaculture sites and taste the local produce before heading back to Port.

DAY 4

COFFIN BAY, ELLISTON - CEDUNA MONDAY 25TH AUGUST
Say goodbye to Port Lincoln and begin the day at Coffin Bay, located on the shores of one of the most beautiful estuaries in Australia. Behold the sensational views of the bay before uncovering the local industry of oyster farming at Experience Coffin Bay. Leaving Coffin Bay, we journey along some of the most rugged and dramatic coastline on the west coast. This really is a stunning area, particularly the appropriately named Great Ocean View – a section of cliff top roadway with some remarkable views of the Great Australian Bight and Waterloo Bay. Then arriving in Elliston, we greet a local expert to discover more about this country town before a BBQ lunch.This afternoon, discover giant and ancient granite rocks sculpted by time, at Murphy’s Haystacks. As we continue our travels, make a stop at Streaky Bay before arriving in Ceduna later in the afternoon.

DAY 5

WHALE WATCHING AT THE HEAD OF THE BIGHT TUESDAY 26TH AUGUST
Fowlers Bay is one of the largest Southern Right Whale nurseries in South Australia. Each year over 100 individual whales pass through the bay on their annual migration, and we hope to meet some today on our Whale Watching Cruise! Cruise along the spectacular coastline with its rugged cliffs and deep blue waters as well also spot dolphins, sea lions and fur seals. Back on dry land, enjoy our picnic lunch before heading back to Ceduna. Along the way we’ll stop at the Penong Windmill Museum. A tribute to the farmer’s whirling workhorses that have nowadays been mostly replaced by solar panels, the outdoor museum features a unique collection of around 20 windmills.

DAY 6

CEDUNA - PORT AUGUSTA WEDNESDAY 27TH AUGUST
Leaving Ceduna behind we begin the days journey to Port Augusta. Along the way make a little detour to visit Pildappa Rock, a large piece of granite featuring the long wave formations rivalling those of Western Australia’s famous Wave Rock. It also offers beautiful views of the surrounding farming land. From here enjoy lunch in Kimba, the home of the Big Galah and the new painted Silo. Back on the road again we make an afternoon stop at Iron Knob, before arriving into Port Augusta for our overnight stay.

DAY 7

PORT AUGUSTA - ADELAIDE THURSDAY 28TH AUGUST
Todays journey follows the coastline of the Spencer Gulf through Port Pirie and Port Broughton to Wallaroo. for lunch and take a look through the Heritage and Nautical Museum, that was originally a Post Office. This historic building houses extensive displays of the copper smelting era which lasted from 1861 - 1923. In the afternoon we pass through Kadina and Port Wakefield to arrive in Adelaide late afternoon and check into our accommodation for the final night of our tour.

DAY 8

ADELAIDE - MELBOURNE / WODONGA / ALBURY FRIDAY 29TH AUGUST
Following breakfast, we have a short walk to the Virgin Australia check-in area at the Adelaide Airport. Checking our bags and collecting our boarding passes we depart Adelaide on Flight VA0212 departing 8.40am to Melbourne arriving 10.30am where our Martins Albury coach will be waiting for us.
From Tullamarine we head home arriving late afternoon.
