Sydney - Aida, Opera on the Harbour

DAY 1

WODONGA - ALBURY - SYDNEY TUESDAY 13TH APRIL 2027
Welcome aboard for departure from Wodonga Plaza, Smythe Street at 7.45am. Albury Rail 8.00am, Lavington Shopping Centre, Griffith Road Bus Stop 8.15am and Holbrook Submarine Bus Stop 9.10am for our mid-week three day tour to Sydney AIDA - Opera on Sydney Harbour. Leaving Albury, we travel to Goulburn where we have time to purchase lunch. This afternoon we arrive in Sydney and drive to Darling Harbour to check into our hotel. We have some time to freshen before our special welcome dinner tonight on a Sydney Harbour Cruise. Enjoy all the sights of Sydney Harbour, including the iconic Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge and Circular Quay from the luxury of your dinner table.

DAY 2

SYDNEY & AIDA ON THE HARBOUR WEDNESDAY 14TH APRIL
We enjoy a relaxed morning before visiting the amusing Madame Tussauds. Travel on a unique journey through the realms of the powerful and famous. The museum-style ropes and poles have gone so we can truly get up close and personal with A-list celebrities, sporting legends, political heavyweights and historical icons, reliving the times, events and moments that made the world talk about them. Don't forget your camera so you can be photographed with your famous idol!
Next, we visit SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, one of Sydney's most popular attractions, where an amazing underwater world awaits. Discover the fascinating marine life of Australia and beyond as we explore a series of immersive themed zones. Come face to face with majestic sharks, graceful rays, colourful tropical fish and playful penguins, and marvel at the incredible creatures of the Great Barrier Reef. Wander through the spectacular underwater viewing tunnels, where marine life glides all around you, offering a wonderful opportunity to observe these fascinating creatures up close. We'll have time at leisure to explore the aquarium at our own pace and purchase lunch.
Returning to our accommodation we freshen up before enjoying an early dinner as we are in for a special evening ahead. Experience the spectacular outdoor production of Giuseppe Verdi's 'Aida' on the shores of Sydney Harbour. Set against the stunning backdrop of the harbour, Aida tells a dramatic story of love, loyalty, duty and conflict in ancient Egypt. The opera follows Aida, an Ethiopian Princess captured and forced into slavery in Egypt, who falls in love with Radamès, an Egyptian military commander. Their love becomes caught between their personal feelings, royal duty and the conflict between their nations.

DAY 3

SYDNEY - ALBURY THURSDAY 15TH APRIL
We enjoy a leisurely morning before we farewell Sydney and make our way south to Berrima and Bendooley Estate, a picturesque country estate in the Southern Highlands renowned for its beautiful gardens, historic charm and elegant atmosphere. Take some time to explore the gardens, browse the renowned Berkelouw Book Barn, or simply relax and soak up the tranquil surroundings before indulging in a delicious farewell lunch. This afternoon, we continue our journey towards Albury arriving home late afternoon.
