Welcome to our 26-Day United Kingdom and Ireland Grand Tour with Edinburgh Tattoo. The group will assemble at Albury Airport at 11.50am to meet your Tour Escort and fellow travellers. Our Qantas flight QF2206 departs at 1.05pm, arriving in Sydney at 2.25pm. Upon arrival, we will be transferred to the Rydges Sydney Airport Hotel to check-in before dinner this evening. The rest of the afternoon is free, this hotel is perfectly located, allowing us to walk across to the International Terminal tomorrow for our flight to Singapore.

DAY 2

SYDNEY TO SINGAPORE SUN 01 AUGUST
This morning, we make our way across to Sydney International Airport and check in at least 3 hours prior to our 10:50am departure flight to Singapore. Enjoy in-flight services. On arrival in Singapore at 5:25pm, and after clearing customs, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. After checking into the hotel, we meet for dinner.

DAY 3

SINGAPORE TO LONDON MON 02 AUGUST
This morning we have free time to shop or take one of the many optional tours available. After lunch we meet up for our half day city tour taking in Chinatown, Kampong Glam, Sultan Mosque, Bumboat ride & Gardens by the Bay. Our goodbye Singapore dinner will be at the hotel restaurant for a 4 course set dinner. Upon completion, we are transferred to the airport 3 hours prior to check-in for our 11.35pm Qantas flight to London.

DAY 4

WELCOME TO LONDON TUE 03 AUGUST
Upon arrival at London Heathrow Airport at 6:15am, and after clearing customs and immigration, you will be warmly welcomed by your English-speaking transfer assistant who will escort you to your coach for your transfer to the hotel. Upon arrival, your hotel provides the perfect base from which to begin your exploration of England's capital. After checking into your hotel, the remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing time to relax after your flight or perhaps enjoy a gentle stroll through the surrounding area. We meet up for our dinner at a local restaurant before settling in for your first night in London.

DAY 5

ROYAL LONDON WED 04 AUGUST
After breakfast, meet your local guide for a full day discovering the magnificent landmarks and royal heritage of London, passing famous sights including Trafalgar Square, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Whitehall, Downing Street, Hyde Park and Piccadilly Circus while your guide shares fascinating stories about London's remarkable history. A highlight of the day is witnessing the colourful Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace. Your royal experience continues with a visit to the Royal Mews, home to the Royal Family's magnificent collection of ceremonial coaches, state vehicles and Windsor Greys. You will also enjoy admission to the magnificent State Rooms of Buckingham Palace, one of the few opportunities each year to enter the official London residence of the British monarch. WESTMINSTER, THE THAMES RIVER CRUISE & TOWER OF LONDON THU 05 AUGUST
Another exciting day of sightseeing begins with your local guide introducing more of London's rich history and iconic landmarks. Your first visit is to Westminster Abbey, one of Britain's most treasured buildings and the traditional site of every British coronation since 1066. Wander through its beautiful chapels, admire the soaring architecture and discover the final resting places of monarchs, scientists, poets and national heroes. From Westminster, enjoy a relaxing one-way cruise along the River Thames. This scenic journey offers unique perspectives of London's famous skyline as you glide past the London Eye, St Paul's Cathedral, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, HMS Belfast and numerous historic bridges before arriving at Tower Pier. Your afternoon is devoted to exploring the legendary Tower of London, one of England's most important historic fortresses. Depart London for the historic town of Windsor to visit Windsor Castle, the world's oldest and largest occupied castle and an official residence of the British monarch. INTO SCOTLAND SUN 08 AUGUST
Departing York, travel north across the rolling landscapes of northern England into the beautiful Scottish Borders. Your first stop is the historic town of Jedburgh, where you will visit the magnificent ruins of Jedburgh Abbey. Founded in the 12th century by Augustinian monks, this impressive abbey remains one of Scotland's finest examples of medieval architecture. Continuing north, arrive in Scotland's magnificent capital city of Edinburgh. Dominated by its spectacular castle perched high above the city, Edinburgh is renowned for its rich history, stunning Georgian architecture and vibrant cultural atmosphere. This evening you will experience one of Scotland's most memorable traditions during the famous Spirit of Scotland Show. EDINBURGH & THE ROYAL EDINBURGH TATTOO MON 09 AUGUST
This morning, discover the historic heart of Edinburgh during a half-day guided sightseeing tour with an experienced English-speaking local guide. Edinburgh is a city where medieval heritage meets elegant Georgian architecture. The tour includes a visit to the iconic Edinburgh Castle, dramatically positioned on Castle Rock overlooking the city. This historic fortress has played a central role in Scotland's story for almost 1,000 years and houses many of Scotland's most treasured national artefacts, including the Crown Jewels and the Stone of Destiny. Following the guided tour, enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. ROYAL MILE, HOLYROOD & HISTORIC OLD TOWN TUE 10 AUGUST

The morning is at leisure in Edinburgh, providing an opportunity to further explore this remarkable city at your own pace. Wander through the atmospheric Old Town, visit local shops, discover hidden closes and courtyards, or enjoy the vibrant café culture for which Edinburgh is renowned. Later, join your English-speaking local guide for a half-day sightseeing tour showcasing Edinburgh's most famous landmarks and historic treasures. The tour introduces the famous Royal Mile, the historic backbone of Edinburgh's Old Town stretching between Edinburgh Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse. HIGHLANDS & INVERNESS WED 11 AUGUST
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for a scenic journey north through the beautiful landscapes of the Scottish Highlands. Depart Edinburgh and travel approximately 126 kilometres to the picturesque Highland town of Pitlochry, known for its Victorian charm, surrounding mountains and traditional Scottish atmosphere. Visit the magnificent Blair Castle, the historic ancestral home of the Dukes of Atholl. Explore the impressive castle interiors, filled with centuries of family history, remarkable collections, artwork and fascinating stories of Scottish life. Stroll through the beautifully landscaped gardens, featuring woodland walks, colourful planting and peaceful Highland scenery. Continue to Blair Athol Distillery for a guided experience introducing the traditional craft of Scotch whisky production. Learn about the history of the distillery, the whisky-making process and the importance of local ingredients. The tour concludes with a tasting experience and a glass to take home as a memorable souvenir. Continue through spectacular Highland scenery towards Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. Start the day with breakfast at the hotel before departing the Scottish Highlands and travelling south towards England's beautiful Lake District. Take time for photographs of this famous freshwater loch, surrounded by mountains, forests and peaceful Highland scenery. Continue south towards Lockerbie, where you will have time at leisure to explore this historic Scottish town. Cross the border into England and continue towards Windermere, located in the heart of the stunning Lake District National Park. DAY 15

LAKES COUNTRYSIDE, BEATRIX POTTER AND CRUISE SAT 14 AUGUST

Travel to Ambleside and board a private mini-coach transfer to visit Hill Top, the much-loved home of author and illustrator Beatrix Potter. Explore the charming farmhouse where she wrote many of her famous children's stories and discover the inspiration she found in the surrounding countryside. Return to Ambleside before travelling to Bowness-on-Windermere for a relaxing circular cruise on Lake Windermere. DAY 16

LIVERPOOL - THE BEATLES STORY SUN 15 AUGUST
Enjoy breakfast before departing the Lakes District for Liverpool. Travel approximately 138 kilometres to the vibrant waterfront city of Liverpool, a UNESCO City of Music and birthplace of one of the world's most influential bands. Visit The Beatles Story, an immersive attraction celebrating the incredible journey of the Fab Four. Discover the story of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr through recreated locations, rare memorabilia, photographs and fascinating displays tracing their rise from Liverpool musicians to global superstars. Following breakfast we bid farewell to Liverpool as your journey continues towards Ireland. We travel through the beautiful countryside of North Wales to the ferry port of Holyhead, a scenic journey of approximately 152 kilometres taking around two hours and fifteen minutes. Upon arrival at Holyhead Port, your UK Tour Escort service concludes before boarding the comfortable Irish Ferries service for the crossing to Dublin. Today is devoted to one of Ireland's most celebrated scenic drives-the spectacular Ring of Kerry. DAY 22

CLIFFS OF MOHER & GALWAY SAT 21 AUGUST
Farewell Killarney as you journey north through Ireland's spectacular west coast towards the iconic Cliffs of Moher. Rising dramatically over 200 metres above the Atlantic Ocean, these world-famous cliffs stretch for approximately eight kilometres and provide some of Europe's most breathtaking coastal scenery. Explore the Atlantic Exhibition, which tells the story of the cliffs' geology, wildlife and natural history, before climbing O'Brien's Tower for magnificent panoramic views across Galway Bay and, on clear days, towards the Aran Islands. Continue to the vibrant city of Galway, renowned for its colourful streets, lively atmosphere, traditional music and artistic culture. This morning begins with a leisurely hot buffet breakfast before checking out. As we drive past Dublin Castle, we stop and spend some free time at the Temple Bar district. The area is known as a lively cultural quarter with cobbled streets, galleries, restaurants, cafes, pubs and entertainment venues. Lunch is by own arrangements before meeting up again for the short transfer to Dublin Airport. Check-in is at least 3 hours prior to our 4.00pm British Airways flight to London. Please check your luggage through to Albury. On arrival in London Heathrow Airport, we proceed to the Qantas departure gate for our 9.50pm flight to Sydney.

SYDNEY TO ALBURY WED 25 AUGUST
On arrival at Sydney International Airport (T1) at 6:10am, proceed through immigration and collect your checked bags from the carousel before clearing customs. Please keep your original bag tags attached. As a group we continue to the Qantas Domestic Transfer area to drop off your luggage. Board the dedicated airside transfer bus to the Sydney Domestic Airport (T3). Our Qantas flight departs 11.20am, arriving Albury 12.40pm with lasting memories of our amazing holiday in the United Kingdom.
